
Chiba, Japan – As a member of the Josaphat Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (JMRSL), Center for Environmental Remote Sensing (CEReS), Chiba University, on one occasion, founder of WR2SL, Joko Widodo, Ph.D., accompanied Prof. Josaphat Tetuko Sri Sumantyo, Ph.D. or can be called Prof. Josh received a delegation from the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science (Sakura Science), a program that includes Japanese and Asian student exchanges in the introduction of science and technology (in the photo above, sitting in the front right)
Prof. Josh is a world radar expert from Indonesia who is recognized for his prowess in developing the Circular Polarization – Synthetic Aperture Radar (CP-SAR) radar, both with satellite and airborne (aircraft and UAV) vehicles. The satellite developed by Prof. Josh is even the lightest CP-SAR satellite, with a weight of 100 kg and the highest wavelength (L-Band).
The Sakura Science program invites outstanding high school students from various countries in Asia to study the development of science and technology in Japan. Coincidentally this time, it was Group D that came from Indonesia.
